RESPECT FOR ALL THAT IS NATURAL, LOCAL AND DISTINCTIVE

HOYO DORNAJO

PLANTING: 1989

SURFFACE AREA: 60 hectares

ALTITUDE: 815 – 830 m

PLOTS: 18 plots with 3 varieties

TERRAIN: Located 1 km from the banks of the River Duero, on a south-facing slope with an inclination above 6%.

TERROIR: Poor in organic content, with a clay-loam texture and high content in limestone due to outcrops from tertiary sediments on the River Duero basin. This composition helps to preserve the fruit notes in the wine.

WINES: El Cuentista, El Buen Alfarero y Pradorey Élite.

LA MINA

PLANTING: 1989 – 1991

SURFFACE AREA: 73 hectares

ALTITUDE: 807 – 820 m

PLOTS: 23 plots with 3 varieties

TERRAIN: Located 1,5 km from the banks of the River Duero, on a south-facing slope with an inclination above 5%.

TERROIR: Soils with poor organic content and a sandy loam texture, an average limestone content of about 10% in the upper part of the slope and good depth. These soils propitiate wines suitable for laying down.

WINES: Pradorey Finca La Mina

PRADO DEL REY

PLANTING: 1991 – 1992

AREA: 45 ha

ALTITUDE: 806 – 825 m

PLOTS: 13 plots with 2 varieties

OROGRAPHY: Located 2 km from the Duero River bank, on a slope with an inclination greater than 3% and southeast orientation.

TERROIR: This soil is richer in organic matter, with a loam-clay texture at the top of the slope and a loam-sandy texture at the bottom. The soil is very deep, allowing the vines a large area for root development.

EL PINO

PLANTING: 1994

SURFFACE AREA: 75 hectares

ALTITUDE: 805 – 810 m

PLOTS: 14 plots with 2 varieties

TERRAIN: The vineyard is located 5 km from the banks of the River Duero in a plot next to the winery on a very slight slope. Its near flatness retains the air, producing a greater thermal inversion than in the rest of the plots.

TERROIR: This vineyard is the most heterogeneous in the estate, with clay-loam soils in the area closer to the hills and sandy loam soils and sandy soils near the road. The ground is deep allowing the vines to grow strong, as can be seen in the hefty trunks and branches.

WINES: Lia

LOS ROBLES

PLANTING: 1998

SURFFACE AREA: 68 hectares

ALTITUDE: 805 – 820 m

PLOTS: 26 plots with 3 varieties

TERRAIN: The vineyard is located on a plot next to El Pino, 5.5 km from the banks of the River Duero. The vineyard is not flat but undulated with slopes never exceeding 3%.

TERROIR: Predominantly shallow, clay-loam soils. The vines suffer marked water stress during the summer, so strict irrigation controls are necessary to prevent leaf desiccation and premature raisining, which would affect grape quality.

SALGÜERO

PLANTING: 1998

SURFFACE AREA: 27 hectares

ALTITUDE: 805 – 825 m

PLOTS: 7 plots with 1 varieties

TERRAIN: The vineyard is planted on a hill near mount Los Laderos, with two
slopes, one south-facing and the other facing west, both with steep
slopes overlooking the Duero Valley.

TERROIR: Predominance of sandy-loam soils, particularly towards the end,
although at higher areas there is more clay with a high limestone-
content at the top of the slopes. Soils are quite shallow and more clayey at the top with a rocky bottom at a shadow depth. However, in the lower areasm the soils are much deeper with a softer texture.

WINES: Adaro y Sr. Niño

VALDELAYEGUA

PLANTING: 1999

AREA: 119 ha

ALTITUDE: 790 – 820 m

PLOTS: 32 plots with 8 varieties

OROGRAPHY: The vineyard is planted on a plot with two types of orography: one area is a south-facing slope and the other part is almost flat. It is located 0.5 km from the Duero River bank and about 0.7 km from the Gromejón River bank.

TERROIR: Two very distinct areas coexist: in the flat zone, the texture is loam-sandy with a predominance of coarse elements; in contrast, on the slope, the texture is loam-clay with limestone outcrops at around 30 cm deep.

WINES: Pradorey Finca Valdelayegua

LA RECORBA

PLANTING: 2013 – 2014

SURFFACE AREA: 18 hectares

ALTITUDE: 805 – 818 m

TERRAIN: The vineyard is planted on a hill near mount Los Laderos, with two slopes, one south-facing and the other facing west, both with steep slopes overlooking the Duero Valley.

TERROIR: Predominance of sandy-loam soils, particularly towards the end, although at higher areas there is more clay with a high limestone- content at the top of the slopes. Soils are quite shallow and more clayey at the top with a rocky bottom at a shallow depth. However, in the lower areas, the soils are much deeper with a softer texture.

LOS QUEMADOS

PLANTING: 2020 – 2021

AREA: 26 ha

ALTITUDE: 820 – 840 m

PLOTS: 9 plots with 5 varieties

OROGRAPHY: The vineyard is located on a flat plot with a slight upward slope as one moves south. The plot borders a native forest of holm oak and juniper, which protects it from adverse weather conditions.

TERROIR: Predominantly loam-sandy soils, although some areas contain a higher percentage of clay. The terrain is deep and unrestricted, allowing for optimal water resource management.

LAS TASUGUERAS

PLANTING: 2021 – 2022

AREA: 20 ha

ALTITUDE: 786 – 814 m

PLOTS: 8 plots with 2 varieties

TERRAIN: The triangular vineyard has a valley-like relief, with an ascending slope that goes from 786 m to 804 m above sea level in the central part and. on the left slope, the highest, it reaches an altitude of 814 m. The plot is surrounded by forest.

TERROIR: It is located on a gently sloping hillside on land with a surface texture that is mostly sandy. As we go deeper, it gradually changes to a medium texture, with some clay outcrops in the higher parts.

HOYO DEL ESPINO

PLANTING: 2023

AREA: 17 ha

ALTITUD: 786 – 814 m

PLOTS: 4 plots with 2 varieties

OROGRAPHY: The vineyard is located in the upper part of the estate, in a valley surrounded by native forests of holm oaks and junipers. It is the only plot on the estate planted in the traditional “gobelet” style, arranged in a staggered (tresbolillo) pattern, so that all the vines are adjacent to each other, forming hexagons. This layout allows the vineyard to be worked in three directions, facilitating soil maintenance and conservation.

TERROIR: Predominantly loam-sandy soils with a light texture. Limestone outcrops appear at various points throughout the valley.
