The New 2016 Guía Peñín Brings Outstanding Scores for Our Wines
12 out of the 14 references submitted for the new edition of the prestigious guide have been rated above 90 points, reinforcing PRADOREY’s leadership in the Spanish wine scene.
At the top of the podium, with 94 points, are PRADOREY Élite 2010, a red wine with its own character made from 100% Tinta Fina grapes from Hoyo Dornajo, and PR3 Barricas 2010, our Verdejo D.O. Rueda, fermented and aged for nine months in Caucasian oak barrels.
Following closely behind with 93 points are the 2011 vintage of PRADOREY Élite and Adaro 2011, one of the winery’s most special wines, reflecting the passion, struggle, and dedication of our founder, Javier Cremades de Adaro.
Also standing out with 92 points are Adaro 2012, PRADOREY Finca Valdelayegüa 2011, and PRADOREY Finca La Mina 2009, a high-expression wine that we only produce in years when the grape quality is exceptional.
Furthermore, five more of our brand’s references share this outstanding score of 90 points:
- PRADOREY Finca Real Sitio de Ventosilla vintages 2004 and 2009, wines that require exceptional grape quality for their production.
- PRADOREY Finca Valdelayegüa 2013, our Crianza wine from a vineyard with unique qualities.
- PRADOREY Roble 2014, the first oak-aged wine from Ribera del Duero, which this year has undergone an oenological revolution.
- PRADOREY Verdejo 2014, our selected-harvest Verdejo.
Guía Peñín is a key reference in the national wine industry, analyzing and rating thousands of wines every year. This year, it closed its 2016 edition in July with the tasting of 11,200 wines, setting a new record.
