PRADOREY Verdejo 2015 will be released to the market under the Vinos de la Tierra de CyL label.

The new vintage of PRADOREY Verdejo will be released to the market under the Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla y León label. In this way, a total of three of our white wines will become part of this food quality label: PRADOREY Verdejo, PRADOREY Sauvignon Blanc, and a new release made with 100% Verdejo grapes—still unnamed—that we will launch on the market in a few months.

This decision stems from PRADOREY’s very own DNA, which since our inception has driven us to experiment and explore new forms of wine expression, thus opening up a wide range of oenological possibilities, always within the highest quality standards and with more natural production processes that respect the very essence of wine. As our General Director, Fernando Rodríguez de Rivera Cremades—grandson of the founder and third generation at the helm of PradoRey—explains, “we want to find our own differentiation and make wines following our own oenological criteria, seeking originality and personality in each one of them.”

Our company has always been committed to producing quality white wines in the Rueda region, a winemaking area in Spain where the Verdejo variety is native and where it can showcase its full potential, demonstrating an extraordinary versatility capable of satisfying all types of consumers. Since 2005, at PRADOREY, we have been known for producing whites with their own personality, deviating from what is typically considered standard in the Rueda region. We are committed to reflecting the terroir and varietal character in all our oenological decisions.

We embarked on this path with the 2014 vintage, producing our PRADOREY Sauvignon Blanc under the Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla y León label, along with an innovative wine made with 100% Verdejo grapes in a fumé style, aged for 9 months on its own lees with a slight touch of wood that enhances the full varietal character of the Verdejo grape. This new wine, which some customers and friends have already had the chance to taste, will be ready for market launch in a few months.
