El Mirón is a very specific and symbolic part of the estate

It is located between the hollows of Dornajo, Espino and Colmenar, an area where some of Pradorey’s oldest vineyards coexist with others that have been recently planted. Past and future sharing the same soil. Very close to this point on the estate stands a small tower, which we have always known as El Mirón. From it, part of our estate and the inn can be seen, with a privileged view of the whole. It is not a place to pass through; it is a place to look, to understand and to find one’s bearings. Storks nest in the tower, birds deeply linked to the land, returning every year to the same place. They are a symbol of rootedness, of memory and of fidelity to origin. That is why both the tower and the storks are part of the label: not as decoration, but as a true reflection of the place where the wine is born. El Mirón is, in essence, a deeply rooted wine with a contemporary outlook. A wine that values where it comes from and adds to its roots a new way of expressing the landscape.

– Varieties: 96% Tempranillo, 3% Albillo Mayor and 1% Merlot
– Start of harvest: 25/09/2024
– Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (27ºC)
– Maceration in an aqueous medium
– Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with native bacteria
– Production: 231,640 bottles
– Spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts at controlled temperature (28 °C).
– 10 months of ageing in used French oak barrels (80%) and American oak barrels (20%)
– The remaining 50% of the wine is aged on lees for 60 days in stainless steel tanks
– SIGHT: Intense cherry-red colour, deep robe, vibrant and contemporary.
– NOSE: Black and red fruit to the fore, with clear blackberry and cherry notes. Spicy and balsamic nuances, a subtle citrus background, and oak that supports without dominating.
– MOUTH: Fine and fluid from the first sip, with rhythm and freshness. Integrated acidity, polished tannins and a balanced structure. Clean, long and light finish.
– Medium-intensity meats such as Iberian pork presa or roasted lamb
– Vegetable and mushroom dishes
– Pairs well with semi-cured cheeses
– Contemporary cuisine proposals such as tuna tataki or duck magret
